"Maui's boy wonder" - Trish Smith, Maui Time Weekly
Willie Simon is a stand-up comedian and Hawaii’s fourteenth favorite son, just behind Daniel Akaka. Growing up on the island of Maui, Willie decided against a life of harmony and peace of mind and instead moved to the mainland to pursue a career in stand-up. He made waves around the Northwest, working out of the Comedy Underground in Downtown Seattle while sometimes attending school at Seattle University. Now, Willie has settled in Los Angeles, where his silly and upbeat style of stand up will certainly help him ignore the fact that he dropped out of college.
Willie can be seen honoring the memory of Senator Akaka all around the western United States.
